Health Minister Vaughan Gething has officially launched the Welsh Centre for Emergency Medicine Research at Morriston Hospital. The centre, located in the hospital’s Emergency Department, is a hugely successful partnership between ABMU and Swansea University. Today’s launch builds on years of cutting-edge work in emergency, biomedical, epidemiological and clinical research by a multidisciplinary team led by Professor Adrian Evans. With an enormous red dragon leading the way, hundreds of people paraded along Cardigan’s High Street in the town’s first colourful St. David’s Day Parade on Friday, 1 March. The parade was organised by Cered: Menter Iaith Ceredigion, to celebrate our national identity and the Welsh language in Cardigan. NTECH Distributions Limited has leased a 44,000 sq ft warehouse and offices at the Avana Business Park at Rogerstone, Newport. [aoa id=”1″] The Chinese-owned company will provide warehousing, fulfilment and logistics services to its overseas clients. Female dementia patients can visit their very own hair salon before enjoying afternoon tea or popping to the pub. Innovative staff at Swansea’s Cefn Coed Hospital’s Onnen Ward have recreated a hair salon and tearoom, called Serenity, in a bid to enhance the care given to their patients – visits to the facilities often help calm patients and help bring back memories. A North Wales business that makes environmentally-friendly decking materials is flying the flag for manufacturing at Futurebuild, a major construction and built environment tradeshow in London this week, thanks to support from manufacturing organisation, Made in Britain.
