Wales is set for a spell of warm, sunny weather over the coming days, with temperatures climbing to 26C and plenty of sunshine expected.
Today will begin with patchy low cloud across parts of the country, but skies are forecast to brighten through the morning. As the cloud clears, very warm and hazy spells of sunshine will develop, accompanied by light winds.
Some low cloud may linger around coastal areas, but inland locations can expect maximum temperatures of around 26C.
This evening will remain bright and warm before low cloud returns overnight, bringing mist and fog patches to some areas. Despite the cloud, conditions will stay dry and mild, with overnight temperatures expected to remain around 15C.
Tuesday will follow a similar pattern, with early low cloud gradually clearing to leave sunny skies across much of Wales. Combined with light winds, the sunshine will make it feel very warm once again, with temperatures reaching 26C.
The settled weather is expected to continue through the rest of the working week.
The outlook for Wednesday to Friday is for dry, hot conditions with prolonged spells of strong sunshine and light winds. While temperatures are expected to ease slightly towards the weekend, much of Wales is set to enjoy several days of fine summer weather.
