From Saturday 30th March, Llaeth & Siwgr in the old library will play host to a weekly kitchen takeover named ‘EMBER’. Cardiff Metropolitan University once again showcased the array of cultures represented at the University during its annual Global Week celebrations. The Global Week initiative officially launched four years ago, celebrating the university’s cultural diversity. Students studying at the Cardiff-based campuses come from 101 different countries, while another 7,800 students study Cardiff Metropolitan courses at 13 international partner institutions across the world. Rugby fans are getting travel advice from Cardiff Bus as they head into the city for Wales’s final Six Nations’ match this weekend. [aoa id=”1″] The bus operator is alerting customers to route diversions and bus stop changes being put in place across the city ahead of Wales vs Ireland at the Principality Stadium from 11am until 6.30pm this Saturday. The top performers in Wales’ contact centre industry have been honoured at an awards ceremony at the Wales Millennium Centre hosted by comedian and presenter Katherine Ryan. A new, multi-kitchen dining hall called Y Gegin will open in Pembroke Dock on the 7th June. The Farmers’ Union of Wales has renewed calls for Article 50 to be revoked to allow the UK to ‘take back control’ and deliver a smooth Brexit that does not threaten millions of livelihoods. The call came after a report by capital markets think tank New Financial estimated that banks are moving around £800bn in assets as a result of Brexit, and that this and other moves by financial firms could reduce UK tax receipts by 1%.
