Swansea University Medical School and St John’s Research Institute have  signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly establish an education hub specialising in health informatics at the Silicon Valley of India, Bangalore. The first balloon launch test has taken place at SAC in the Snowdonia Enterprise Zone, as B2Space uses the facilities and infrastructure at Llanbedr to collect key data that will contribute to analysing the viability of B2Space operations in the area’s bid to create a spaceport. A WOMAN who fled to Llandudno to escape her violent husband and is now devoting her life to helping other vulnerable people has been honoured by a police chief. Brenda Fogg arrived battered and bruised with her two children from her home in Manchester with nowhere to turn. THOUSANDS of women joined the fight against cancer at Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life in Cardiff yesterday. Around 4,500 women – including cancer survivors and participants who took part in memory or celebration or a loved one – came together for the 5k and 10k event at Bute Park. Representatives of over 80 Welsh companies attended Wales’ second Heathrow business summit in Cardiff last week to help ensure they are best placed to support and benefit from the construction of the airport’s third runway. Two enterprising teenagers won top prize at the Making Business Awards ceremony, held at the University of South Wales (USW)..
