A man who repeatedly stabbed another male during a violent assault in Rhyl has been jailed. Appearing at Mold Crown Court this week, 48-year-old Steven Marcus Boyd, of Pleasant View Caravan Park, Abbey Road, Rhuddlan, was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a knife. The incident occurred on South Kinmel Street, Rhyl on 6 November 2024. Swansea Council’s planning committee has approved an application for plans by the Ospreys to transform the St Helen’s ground into their new home. Following a recent monitoring visit by Estyn, Risca Community Comprehensive School has been formally removed from the ‘Special Measures’ category. Inspectors determined that the school has made significant and sustained progress in addressing all of the recommendations previously identified.
