Orchard Live are delighted to announce the return of Feels Like Summer to a brand new home in Bute Park, Saturday Aug 6th 2022.

After an enforced two-years hiatus, the one day family-friendly festival is thrilled to return with music legend Billy Ocean headlining. Feels Like Summer 2022 comes after the incredibly successful launch of the event in Sophia Gardens in 2019, which saw performances from Bananarama, Bonnie Tyler and Mr Motivator, to name a few.

Billy Ocean is one of the most successful music artists Britian has ever produced with over 30 million albums sold throughout his career. He has a slew of Gold and Platinum records under his belt and has topped the Pop Charts in a number of countries, including the US, Australia, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. Billy has had tremendous success as a performer and songwriter, and he is a firm favourite amongst all ages.

‘Murder on the Dancefloor’ singer, Sophie Ellis-Bextor is also on the festival bill.
Over the last year, Ellis-Bextor and her family performed a series of live events dubbed ‘Kitchen Disco Live’ on Instagram every Friday night for ten consequetive weeks. She sang some of her songs (including non-single tracks) as well as a number of covers in front of large online audiences. Recently Sophie, ‘The Kitchen Disco Mixtape’ presenter from Radio 2, raised over £1 Million with a 24-hour danceathon for BBC Children in Need.

The House Gospel Choir, an electric House meets Gospel live experience that has become a strong festival favourite will be joining the roster of artists at Feels Like Summer. The choir, whose electrifiying live show consists of club favourites, is bound to have everyone dancing.

Making a welcome return after his appearance in 2019 and heading up the festival’s wellness offering, is the legend that is Mr Motivator – the world’s leading health & wellness coach. He rose to fame in 1993 after appearing on the UK breakfast television show GMTV, where he did live exercise workouts and gave viewers suggestions and advice. During his energetic festival performances, Mr Motivator never fails to get everyone up and moving!

Other acts complementing the amazing lineup are Bristol’s Bloco B, who will bring the spirit of Rio to Feels Like Summer. The musicians and dancers take part in St Paul’s Carnival in Bristol, Notting Hill Carnival and the Rio Carnival itself. Honouring the musical traditions of this amazing music, BLOCO B challenge you not to move and be moved. Joining them, another festival favorite is Lycra 80’s Party, the international 80s aerobic sensation! They’re there with high energy dancers, performers, DJs and LIVE AEROBICS thrown right in the middle of the dancefloor!

If that wasn’t enough, there will an amzing array of Cardiff’s best street food vendors, a Pimms and Processco bar, and fun and educational activities for all the family including children’s funfair rides, the Big Retreat wellness tent, a Bute Park education zone and so much more. Feels Like Summer 2022 is destined to be one of Cardiff’s renowned summer family-friendly festivals.

Family Ticket and Hospitality Packages are available. Tickets go on general sale on Friday 3rd December at 12pm.
