Powerhouse Energy (AIM:PHE), a company pioneering integrated technology that converts non-recyclable waste into low carbon energy together with a revenue generating engineering consulting division (Engsolve), is pleased to announce the launch of operations at its new Feedstock Testing Unit (“FTU”) at the Company’s headquarters at Bridgend. This is a hugely significant milestone for the Company’s and its mission to provide flexible, innovative, solutions to global pollution by converting plastic and other waste into cost effective energy products that improve our environment for future generations.

The new facility will serve as a hub for evaluating and optimising various waste-derived feedstocks, ensuring they meet the stringent requirements for conversion into synthetic gas (syngas) and energy. This process is crucial in developing efficient waste-to-energy solutions that support the UK’s net-zero ambitions while creating new opportunities for the regional economy.

Paul Emmitt, CEO of Powerhouse, commented:

“This is a huge milestone for the Company and not only allows us to showcase our technology, but is a hugely significant milestone for the Company, as having a fully operational technology centre will undoubtedly help provide us with even greater impetus to our pipeline, whilst further innovating the services that we can provide.

We believe that our technology will play a pivotal role in refining waste-to-energy, ensuring we can process a broad range of materials efficiently and sustainably. By establishing this testing unit, we are reinforcing our commitment to developing cleaner, greener energy solutions while supporting the local economy.”
