After a breezy weekend, Wales will see a brighter and milder start to the week before wetter and windier conditions move in towards Halloween on Friday.
Monday (27 October)
Today will bring a welcome break from recent downpours, with sunny spells across much of Wales. Some showers will linger in northern areas during the morning, but elsewhere it will stay mostly dry. Clouds will gradually build through the afternoon, and while it remains breezy, the wind will ease a little later. Temperatures will reach around 13°C, feeling a touch milder.
Tonight
Cloud will thicken this evening with patchy rain spreading into parts of the country. Skies will clear again later in the night, and although it will stay breezy—particularly over higher ground—it should remain frost free with lows of around 6°C.
Tuesday (28 October)
A windy day ahead, especially for exposed coasts and hills where gusts could be strong at times. Despite the blustery conditions, many areas will stay dry with bright or sunny spells. A few passing showers are possible, but it will feel mild for late October, with temperatures peaking near 14°C.
Wednesday to Friday (29–31 October)
Midweek looks mostly bright with scattered showers, but by Thursday and Friday, the weather turns more unsettled. Expect showers or longer spells of rain, heavy in places, with stronger winds returning. Temperatures will stay on the mild side compared to recent weeks.
Halloween (Friday 31 October)
Trick-or-treaters may need to keep an umbrella handy, as showers are expected across much of Wales during the afternoon and evening. Some drier spells are likely in between, especially in the south, but it will remain breezy with temperatures around 12–14°C.
Overall, Wales can expect a mix of sunshine and showers this week, with Halloween shaping up to be mild but unsettled.
