Bryn Meadows Golf Hotel & Spa is excited to announce the development of a new lodge facility, which marks a significant enhancement to its accommodation offerings, made possible through a match-funded grant of £23,411.10 from the UK Government via the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).

This funding, facilitated through the intervention of Caerphilly County Borough Council, has played a pivotal role in the renovation of the lodge into a luxurious 10-bed self-contained accommodation ideal for hen parties, birthdays, team-building weekends, and more.

Nestled within over 100 acres of stunning meadowland in the breathtaking valleys of Caerphilly, Bryn Meadows has been a cornerstone of the community since the 1970s, employing 139 local staff members. The resort features a full 18-hole championship golf course and provides comprehensive hotel, spa, and venue facilities, establishing itself as one of Wales’s premier destinations for golf and spa breaks.

The recent expansion increases the hotel’s room count from 42 to 52, allowing Bryn Meadows to cater to more guests while maintaining its commitment to quality service. The lodge’s renovation is part of a larger refurbishment initiative currently in Phase 3, with an expected total cost of approximately £500,000. The project is anticipated to further enhance the guest experience and support the local economy by attracting more visitors to the area.

“We are incredibly grateful for the support from Caerphilly County Borough Council and the UK Government,” said Kevin Morgan, Financial Director for Bryn Meadows. “Throughout the application process, Sally Harvey and the Business Team from Caerphilly Council provided invaluable guidance, ensuring a smooth and timely submission. The grant has not only enabled us to purchase new furniture and equipment for our restaurant, which serves around 6,000 covers in December alone, but has also facilitated the renovation of our new lodge. The entire process was seamless, and we appreciate the council’s commitment to supporting local businesses.”

Bryn Meadows is also recognized for its exceptional dining facilities, with a catering turnover exceeding £1million. The resort offers extensive golf, leisure, and spa facilities, including a state-of-the-art golf simulator.

Adam Sadler, Principal Business Development Officer at Caerphilly Council, commented “Bryn Meadows is a key employer within the borough, and we look forward to seeing them thrive with the support provided by our Business Team. This grant is an investment in the future of both Bryn Meadows and the broader community.”
