The Caerphilly Comic Con will return for the second year running, on Saturday 9 June, raising money for disability charity Sense.

The event, organised by 44-year-old resident Vik Yadh, will be held at St. Cenydd Leisure Centre, from 10 – 5pm, with proceeds going towards building a new sensory room at TouchBase Cymru, Caerphilly, which supports people with complex disabilities.

This year’s attractions at the comic and gamecon convention will include a Steampunk Festival, a replica of the Jurassic Park JP29 Jeep, and celebrity appearances which will include Game of Thrones actor Ross O’Hennessy, and legendry puppeteer Toby Philpott.

Vik Yadh, organiser of the Caerphilly Comic Con, said:

“Following the success of last year’s event, I have chosen to organise a second Comic Con to raise money to support the inspiring work Sense do locally in Caerphilly. We have some fantastic activities lined up for everyone with lots on offer for families, children and comic fans.”

The Comic Con event is part of a series of events that Vik has planned for the year, which he hopes will raise £10,000.
