    Candidates confirmed for Fishguard North East county council election

    The list of candidates standing for election to Pembrokeshire County Council in the Fishguard North East ward has been confirmed.

    Nominations have now closed and the official Statement of Persons Nominated has been published. Seven candidates will contest the seat at the upcoming election.

    Those standing for election are:

    • Caleb Churchill, Liberal Democrats
    • Paul Stephen Howe, Labour
    • Peter John, Reform
    • Brian Murphy, Conservative
    • Billy Shaw, Plaid Cymru
    • Teresa Tannahill, Independent
    • Adrian Tyrrell, Independent

    The election will take place on Tuesday, 10 February.

    Residents who are not yet registered to vote must ensure their application reaches the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on 23 January.

    Applications to vote by post, or to make changes to existing postal voting arrangements, must be received by no later than 5pm on 26 January. Applications to vote by proxy must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on 2 February.

    Poll cards will be sent to eligible electors ahead of the election. Registered 16 and 17 year olds and qualifying foreign nationals are eligible to vote in this election.

    Voters are reminded that photographic ID will not be required to cast a vote.
