Cardiff and Vale College has been awarded silver accreditation against the Investors in People Standard, demonstrating their commitment to high performance through good people management.

One of the largest Further Education colleges in the UK, CAVC has top class facilities across Cardiff and the Vale and is transforming education and training across the Capital Region of Wales. It supports and develops 20,000 students each year through a team of more than 800 industry experts, sector specialists and knowledgeable and experienced support teams.

Investors in People is the international standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead,  support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results. Underpinning the Standard is the Investors in People framework, reflecting the latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures that help businesses support and develop their people to achieve the best possible outcomes. Investors in People enables organisations to benchmark against the best in the business on an international scale.

Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said:

“We’d like to congratulate Cardiff and Vale College, Investors in People accreditation isthe sign of a great employer, an outperforming place to work and a clear commitment to success. Cardiff and Vale College should be extremely proud of their achievement.”

Commenting on the award, CAVC’s Vice Principal for Corporate Resources, Richard Pugsley, said:

“Being awarded Investors in People silver accreditation is fantastic news for the College. Investors in People is about valuing and listening to our staff and making CAVC a great place to work.  We are delighted that the progress we have made in these areas has been recognised.”

“As individuals and as teams, everyone at the College has contributed to the development of CAVC’s visions and values, and the silver accreditation demonstrates that staff are living these in their everyday behaviour.  There’s more work to do, but we have a strong foundation on which to build, and are excited to continue developing as an organisation in the future.”
