Cardiff Airport is pleased to announce that new ski flights to the French Alps are now available for booking, courtesy of Crystal Ski, TUI’s ski partner.

TUI, the largest tour operator in Wales, will operate flights every Saturday between Cardiff and Chambéry, France, from 21 December 2024 to 15 March 2025. These flights will be provided by TUI Airways.

Chambéry, a picturesque town steeped in history and culture, offers a wealth of attractions, including its medieval Old Town, cathedral, château, and museums. The area also boasts some of the world’s finest ski resorts, such as Val d’Isère, La Plagne, Courchevel, and Méribel.

This development provides Cardiff Airport customers with even more options to fly locally and explore globally this winter. With the first flight scheduled just days before Christmas, it presents the perfect opportunity for a festive getaway. This marks the first direct ski route from Cardiff since the winter of 2019/2020.

Lee Smith, Cardiff Airport’s Head of Business Development, commented: “We are thrilled to share this news. Our customers have been requesting a ski route for some time, and we’re delighted that Crystal Ski has responded to this demand. This new route enables residents of Wales to fly from their National Airport, with access to an array of fantastic ski resorts within easy reach of Chambéry. We anticipate this route will be extremely popular.”
