Cardiff is set to welcome its most exciting new destination for live entertainment, as LUDO Sports and Live Lounge prepares to open its flagship venue on St Mary’s Street this September, with room for over 700 guests.

LUDO’s most ambitious site yet promises a winning line‑up of live music, premium live sport screenings, freshly prepared food, craft drinks and local beers, as well as competitive socialising in the form of interactive darts and basketball: all designed to deliver unforgettable nights out, whatever the occasion.

At the heart of the new venue is a state‑of‑the‑art beer garden featuring Cardiff’s largest outdoor UHD wall screen and a fully retractable roof, bringing all‑year‑round atmosphere to the city, come rain or shine. To keep the good times flowing, an outdoor bar ensures smooth and speedy service, so guests never miss a moment of the action. Whether it’s watching headline matches, soaking up the buzz of live music, or competing in friendly games with friends, LUDO Cardiff guarantees the ultimate location for memorable moments.

The menu is carefully crafted and freshly prepared, with gourmet burgers, wood‑fired pizzas loaded with classic toppings and sticky wings with signature sauces. For the table or large groups, there will be generous sharing platters. And to round off the week in style, LUDO will serve a hearty Sunday roast piled high with tender cuts of meat, golden roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and rich, velvety gravy – the perfect comfort food to end the weekend. Drinks will celebrate the best of local craft beers alongside classic cocktails, premium wines, and seasonal specials, making every visit a chance to discover something new or indulge in old favourites.

In the beer garden, groups of friends can enjoy a game of basketball set against the backdrop of the city’s biggest outdoor screen, with matchday competitions offering prizes for those who fancy showing off their skills. Inside, interactive darts and live screenings rev up the action. Together, darts, basketball, and live sport create a dynamic social playground, unlike anywhere else.

And the nights don’t end when the final whistle blows. LUDO Cardiff will host a regular programme of live bands, acoustic sessions, and comedy nights, ensuring the venue is buzzing long into the evening.

Ed Martin, CEO of LUDO Sports and Live Lounge, commented: “We’re bringing a venue to Cardiff that combines the atmosphere of live music, the spectacle of sport, and the energy of a buzzing social scene – and that’s exactly what LUDO delivers. With the city’s biggest outdoor UHD screen, a year‑round beer garden with a retractable roof, and a line‑up of incredible food, drinks, and entertainment, this flagship venue will redefine nights out in the city.”

Kevin Georgel, CEO of St Austell Brewery, joint venture partners in LUDO commented: “We are extremely pleased with the continued growth and success of LUDO Sports and Live Lounge and are excited to be opening our next venue in Cardiff, a city well known for a great night out. LUDO Cardiff will be our boldest and most ambitious opening to date, reflecting our confidence in the LUDO proposition and the future growth potential of the business. We wish Ed and his team well as they launch LUDO Cardiff, and we look forward to supporting him and the team in creating this new and exciting flagship venue in the heart of the city.”

LUDO Cardiff opens September 25th at 117 St Mary’s Street.
