Cardiff’s Tiger Yard is Back – Bigger, Brighter, and Bolder Than Ever

Tiger Yard is officially back for 2025, and I have to say—it’s never looked better. If you loved it before, you’re in for a treat this season. Not only have they brought back all the crowd favourites, but they’ve also made some clever improvements that elevate the entire experience.

Let’s start with the biggest change: the new retractable roof. Last year’s storm damage may have been a bit of a nightmare, but it’s turned out to be a blessing in disguise. They’ve taken the opportunity to upgrade the middle section, which now matches the front of the venue with a fully retractable electric roof. It’s seriously transformed the vibe—what used to be a quiet, underused area has suddenly become the buzzing heart of the Yard. It’s brighter, more inviting, and puts you right in the mix of all the food action. Honestly, it’s a game-changer.

One thing I’m really happy about is the return of curling. It was a surprise hit before, and I’m glad it’s not going anywhere. Whether you’re competitive or just fancy something a bit different, it’s a brilliant way to kick off a night

    Food-wise, I’ve got to give a personal shout-out to

Fire & Flank’s steak and fries

Fire & Flank. Their steak and fries? Absolutely unreal. Packed with flavour, a bit of heat, and consistently spot-on—it’s easily one of our go-to dishes when we visit. And while we’ve yet to try one of Brascos Burgers’ actual burgers (something we definitely need to fix), their loaded chilli cheese fries were ridiculously good. Like, worth-the-trip-alone good.

Ordering is slick and super straightforward. For those who haven’t been before, you just scan a QR code and order everything from your phone. Mix and match across all the vendors and bars at your own pace. It’s perfect for those “bit of everything” cravings.

    April’s Food Line-Up

April’s looking particularly tasty at Tiger Yard. Alongside resident favourites like Dirty Bird Fried Chicken, Meating Point UK, and the ever-delicious Fire & Flank, you’ll also find a rotating selection of guest vendors bringing fresh flavours to the mix. This month, keep an eye out for Brascos Burgers, Lapantera Cardiff with their bold global street food, and the wonderfully indulgent Holy Cheesus UK—if you’re into gooey, cheesy goodness, you’re in for a treat.

    So, What’s On This Season?

Tiger Yard isn’t just about the food—it’s packed with an epic line-up of events and live music this year. Here’s just a taste of what’s coming up:

    • Gin Stock – Saturday, 26 April
A gin-lover’s dream with premium pours, cocktails, live music, and a buzzing vibe. (18+)

    • One Night in Tigerville – Saturday, 14 June

The legend himself is bringing the grooves. Expect funk, soul, and serious energy. (18+)

    • Bingo Lingo Summer Series – Every Friday in July & August

    • Summer Markets & Pop-Ups

If you’ve never been before, now’s the time to check it out. And if you’re already a fan, I promise you—it’s better than ever. For tickets, curling bookings, and the full event list, head over to www.tiger-yard.com/events.
