Carmarthenshire County Council has launched a consultation to help shape its Homelessness and Housing Support Programme (HSP) Strategy for 2027 to 2031.

The four-year plan will help guide services for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness across the county.

The council is inviting residents, people who have experienced homelessness or housing difficulties, landlords, partner organisations and community groups to take part.

It wants to build a clearer picture of current and future housing support needs, and says the feedback will help identify challenges, barriers to accessing support and opportunities to improve services.

Once approved, the strategy will be submitted to the Welsh Government.

Cllr Emlyn Schiavone, Carmarthenshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Homes, said: “Preventing homelessness and ensuring people can access the support they need is a priority for Carmarthenshire County Council.”

Cllr Schiavone added: “The views shared through this consultation will play an important role in helping us develop a strategy that reflects local needs and helps us provide effective support for people across Carmarthenshire.”

The online survey is available at https://carmarthenshire.welcomesyourfeedback.net/afn361
