Independent, Cardiff-based funeral directors, Coles Funeral Directors, is marking a key phase of business growth by opening its third funeral home in the city this week.

The award-winning, family-run business has supported countless families since it was established in 2006, employing over 25 members of staff. Now it will also be taking up residence at 98 Cardiff Road, a landmark site in Llandaff, to support the West Cardiff community.

Speaking of the launch, managing director Gareth Coles said: “As one of the last remaining independent funeral providers in Cardiff, it’s an honour to be expanding our reach across Cardiff to support wider communities. Llandaff is steeped in Welsh history, and this move has been a long time coming. Not only will we be able to support the community as they say goodbye to their loved ones, but we’ll also be offering bereavement support and wider funeral planning services.”

Having recently been crowned Family Business of the Year at the Cardiff Business Awards, Coles is renowned for its innovative approach to supporting families during periods of grief. To continue its mission, Coles has now brought four new team members on board to support business growth and the wider West Cardiff community from the Llandaff site.

Gareth continued: “It’s been a challenging year unlike any other and while we will never forget this or those we’ve lost along the way; we are looking to the future with positivity. As such, we’re proud to be able to offer employment opportunities in the local community and as always, we’ll be with our community every step of the way.”
