Drivers faced disruption on the A470 southbound between Pontypridd and Coryton on Monday morning following a collision and a separate broken down vehicle.

Traffic Wales reported that a collision had taken place in the area, with an additional vehicle breaking down in lane one, adding to congestion on the busy commuter route.

Motorists travelling towards Cardiff were advised to expect delays as traffic built up through the stretch between Pontypridd and Coryton during the morning rush hour.

Drivers are being urged to plan ahead, allow extra time for their journeys and consider alternative routes where possible while the incidents are dealt with.
