CEO of Swansea-based company CPR Global Tech, Andrew Sandbrook and CFO Chrissy Sandbrook have attended an official reception at Buckingham Palace as part of a select group of winners of the 2018 Queen’s Award for Enterprise.

The company was chosen as one of just 12 winners of the prestigious award in Wales and was recognised in the International Trade category.

The Queen’s Awards are conferred by Her Majesty The Queen, on the advice of the Prime Minister, to organisations with outstanding performance in one of four categories; International Trade, Innovation, Sustainable Development and Promoting Opportunity. The award is recognised as the highest official accolade that a UK business can receive.

    CEO Andrew Sandbrook commented:

“We are extremely proud to have received the Queen’s Award and were honoured to visit Buckingham Palace for the official reception. To be at the Palace representing Swansea and Wales alongside other successful businesses was a milestone moment for us as a company and receiving the award has only inspired us to continue to work and grow.”

CPR Global Tech was established in 2010 to tackle the growing problem of nuisance calls and produce a range of stand alone call blocking devices that plug in to landline phones and allow the user to cut off and permanently block nuisance and scam calls.

As the issue of nuisance calls has spread globally, CPR has followed suit and moved in to foreign markets including the USA, Australia and throughout Europe. The company is continuing to enter new territories as well as expanding its range with the aim of becoming the market leader in self-care products.

    Andrew continued:

“As a forward thinking company we are constantly looking at new ways to improve our products and create other solutions that will assist people to lead independent lives. Our Watchu Guardian is an example of the new products we are creating; a GPS smart watch that can locate and track the wearer at all times as well as alert loved ones if they are in trouble.
“We offer a lifeline to some of the people who need it most in society and we are determined to continue to offer effective solutions and responses to problems like nuisance calls.”
