German Doner Kebab has been shortlisted as one of the finalists for Deliveroo’s ‘Most-Loved Chain’ in the upcoming Restaurant Awards.

The gourmet kebab chain has been recognised as one of the top contenders for the third annual Restaurant Awards celebrating the best restaurants and grocers available on Deliveroo.

Voting has re-opened until the 18th of October where the public will have one final chance to vote for German Doner Kebab as ‘Most-Loved Chain’.

Winners will be announced online on November 15th during the virtual Deliveroo Restaurant Awards 2021 held on Deliveroo’s Instagram and Twitter channels.

German Doner Kebab is revolutionising the kebab in the UK, bringing a fresh, high-quality taste sensation that has made it the number one spot to enjoy a kebab.

Freshly prepared in front of customers, the game-changing kebabs are made using premium, lean, succulent meats and fresh local vegetables, served in handmade toasted breads with unique signature sauces.

The brand has recently confirmed its position as the UK’s fastest-growing restaurant chain and now has over 90 restaurants worldwide as it continues to bring the GDK experience to more locations across the globe.

Daniel Bunce, GDK MD for UK and Europe, said: “We’re delighted to be shortlisted and make the final stages of the ‘Most Loved Chain’ category in Deliveroo’s Restaurant Awards.

“It is a testament to the hard work of all the members of our GDK family and the great tasting food and quality service they provide every day to our customers.

“The public’s appetite and love for our delicious gourmet kebabs and range of sides appears to be growing as fast as we are, as we continue to forge ahead with our growth plans and shape GDK into becoming one of the forefront brands of the future.”

The awards, first launched in 2019, were created to celebrate the best restaurants — and more recently, grocers such as Aldi, Co-op, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Morrisons — available on Deliveroo across the UK and Ireland.

In 2020, over 100,000 food-lovers cast their vote online, and this year, volumes are expected to be even bigger. The British public have until the 18th October to vote for their favourites via the Deliveroo Restaurant Award 2021 website and each vote will be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win £500 Deliveroo credit.*

Will Shu, CEO of Deliveroo, said: “Celebrating our incredible restaurant and grocery partners has never been more important. We are launching our third annual Deliveroo Restaurant Awards to shine a light on the very best food the UK and Ireland has to offer, from high-street favourites to local gems. With new categories, and over 45,000 restaurants and grocers in the running, this year’s awards will be bigger and better than ever. We’re calling on the public to celebrate their favourite restaurants and grocers by casting your vote and supporting these great businesses.”
