Family fashion retailer Peacocks has officially reopened its flagship store in Cardiff city centre today (Friday, 27 March) following a major half-a-million-pound refurbishment.

Located in St David’s Cardiff, the store, which is the largest in the Cardiff-headquartered brand’s portfolio, had been closed in phases since the start of the year while work took place.

The revamped store welcomed shoppers from 9am, with a busy launch event featuring celebrity ambassadors Dani Dyer and Louise Redknapp, who officially opened the doors on The Hayes.

The first 20 customers through the doors were treated to golden tickets worth £50, while visitors were also given the chance to enter a competition to win a personal styling session with the celebrity duo.

Radio presenters Josh and Kally from Capital FM were also on hand during the opening, offering tours of the upgraded store and giving away a £500 Peacocks voucher, alongside additional in-store offers available across the opening weekend.

Shoppers visiting the store can now experience a refreshed layout, including new flooring, cladding, upgraded cash desks and fitting rooms, as well as redesigned wall bays and striking lightbox window displays. The refurbishment also introduces more premium interior touches, including a standout Wi-Fi blossom tree installation.

Sharron Lamb, Retail Director at Peacocks, said: “We’re so excited to be reopening our flagship store after such a big investment, reflective of the brilliant growth we’ve achieved in recent years. The store really reflects our vision for the brand, especially since working with our fabulous celebrity ambassadors, and we can’t wait for everyone to see it.”

Helen Morgan, Centre Director of St David’s Cardiff, said: “There’s always something happening behind the scenes at St David’s, whether preparations for a new brand or an upgrade to one of our much-loved stores, such as Peacocks. With a huge investment topped by a celebrity launch, we know Peacocks fans will love exploring the newly revamped store.”
