Runners looking to take part in the fastest growing 10K in Wales need to set their alarms for Thursday 28 November when entries go on sale.

Next year’s Brecon Carreg CDF 10K will take place on Sunday 7 September and will take in all the stunning sites of the Welsh capital.

Runners are being encouraged to pre-register for the ticket launch to be first to know when registrations are live and be in with the chance of nabbing one of the 500 early bird entries available.

Alternatively, they can enter now ensuring their spot in the race is secured by running for the event’s lead charity partner, Kidney Wales.

The charity relies solely on generous donations to make a difference to the lives of kidney patients in Wales. It offers essential guidance and support, funds critical research and provides financial assistance to help alleviate the burdens faced by those with kidney problems, so they can lead their best lives.

Those running for Kidney Wales can register for just £1 when pledging to raise £125 in sponsorship for the charity.

Ross Evans, Managing Director at Kidney Wales, said: “We’re so thrilled to once again be lead charity partner of the Brecon Carreg CDF 10K and excited for the launch.

“The iconic race is becoming so popular and we’re looking forward to welcoming a team of Kidney Wales runners to the event for 2025. Our charity places are now open, and we’d love for as many people to join us in fundraising to help support patients and families living with kidney disease in Wales.”

Alongside the charity entry, from 28 November there will be 500 early bird spaces up for grabs at £28 with general entry then rising to £32, or £30 for affiliated athletes.

Like previous years, the Brecon Carreg CDF 10K will be part of the Run 4 Wales 10K series. There will also be 1,000 10K Series Bundle Offers to secure with savings of up to £18 available for those looking to enter two or more races in the series.

Matt Newman, Chief Executive at Run 4 Wales, added: “This is a fantastic event which takes in all of our favourite sites around the capital including Cardiff Castle and the Principality Stadium before heading into the city’s green spaces.

“It’s also the perfect pre-event for those training for the Cardiff Half to get their race practise in ahead of October.”
