Denbighshire Leisure announces reopening of SC2 Waterpark

On Saturday 29th May, SC2’s waterpark will be reopening its doors, just in time to welcome visitors to North Wales for the half term holiday.

With restrictions now lifting, customers will be delighted to be reunited with their favourite flumes, slides and play equipment, but will notice a fantastic new look to the outdoor Splash Pad.  In addition, following customer feedback, the Splash Pad will now be available as a separate booking from the indoor park.

There’s plenty to look forward to inside the Waterpark, with the launch of a new ice cream factory, Costa Coffee; and upgrades to poolside dining and seating areas.   Safety remains a top priority at SC2, and the team at the attraction have been working hard to ensure they can offer visits with the same high levels of fun and excitement, but also adhere to WG guidelines.  Customers can book online now.

The Waterpark will be open every day during the half term holiday and then every weekend after that.  From 7th June, customers will also be able to visit on weekdays for a Costa coffee, and the venue will also be offering Parent & Toddler splash sessions on selected days.

The Ninja TAG arena will remain closed for the time being as Denbighshire Leisure are busy making some exciting improvements to the popular indoor venue, but are expecting it to be open in good time for the summer holidays.

Jamie Groves, Managing Director of Denbighshire Leisure Ltd said “The team at SC2 are thrilled to be back and can’t wait to see our customers having fun in the waterpark once more.  We have had requests from customers in the past for our outdoor splash pad to be available on a separate ticket, so we’ve made sure this is in place for 2021, and we are sure they will also love the new look we’ve given this area. We are also thrilled to announce the venue is now offering Costa coffee coupled with our new ice cream factory which I’m sure will be very popular.

“The Ninja TAG arena is going to be fantastic when the current project is complete.  We are sorry it won’t be ready for the half term break, but can promise customers it will be worth the wait!  As always, safety of our customers and staff is our top priority and you can see how we will be managing your visits on our website.  SC2 is an integral part of the Rhyl tourism offer, and we are delighted to be able to reopen our doors once more.”
