    Driver in hospital with serious injuries following collision with stone bridge

    South Wales Police is appealing for witnesses following a serious injury single vehicle Road Traffic Collision that occurred at approximately 0050 hrs hours on Wednesday 29th May 2019 at A4109 Neath Road Crynant Neath.

    A silver Peugeot 207 motor vehicle was in collision with a stone bridge support. The male driver was conveyed to Morriston Hospital with serious injuries.

    The carriageway was closed for approximately 6 hours while Police carried out initial investigations and recovered the vehicle. South Wales Police would like to thank the people affected by the closure for their patience and understanding.

    South Wales Police would like to speak with any witnesses to the collision, any drivers with dashcam footage, or anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the manner of driving of the Peugeot prior to the collision.
