Motorists have been warned they could have their vehicles seized after police responded to reports of dangerous driving on a popular North Wales beach.
Officers from North Wales Police attended Black Rock Sands in Morfa Bychan following numerous calls from members of the public about vehicles being driven in a “careless and inconsiderate manner”.
As part of the enforcement action, officers issued two Traffic Offence Reports for careless driving, along with two Section 59 Road Traffic Act warnings.
Police said drivers who continue to behave irresponsibly risk having their vehicles seized if they are stopped again.
In a statement shared on social media, officers reminded motorists that both marked and unmarked police vehicles are used during patrols and enforcement operations.
Black Rock Sands, also known as Traeth y Greigddu, is a popular destination where vehicles are permitted onto sections of the beach, particularly during busy holiday periods and warm weather.
Police are urging drivers to act responsibly to help keep beachgoers safe throughout the half term week.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: “Please drive responsibly and help keep our beaches safe for everyone.”
The force also thanked a member of the public who spotted officers on patrol and shared a photograph from the scene.
