Emergency services are continuing their response following a house fire on Lady Street in Kidwelly.

Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed that joint enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing, with the fire now extinguished.

Officers, alongside other emergency services, remain at the scene while work continues to make the property and surrounding area safe. The cause of the fire is currently being treated as unexplained.

Lady Street remains closed and is expected to stay shut for some time, with a small number of nearby properties still affected and access restricted for safety reasons.

Police are now appealing for witnesses who may be able to assist with the investigation.

Anyone who may have CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage from between 11pm on Monday, March 23 and 4am on Tuesday, March 24 is urged to come forward.

Information can be provided online, via email at [email protected], by direct message on social media, or by calling 101, quoting reference 027 of March 24.

Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or visiting crimestoppers-uk.org.
