    EMR Cardiff partners with Llamau to boost youth educational opportunities

    Welsh homelessness charity Llamau has partnered has partnered with EMR Cardiff to provide educational opportunities to young people.

    The donation provided by EMR Cardiff will enable 60 young people between the ages of 16 and 24 to access educational opportunities. From buying learning materials to helping young people write CV’s and apply for jobs, the donation will help improve their employability prospects.

    Llamau believes that no young person or woman, should have to experience homelessness. This is why, for 30 years, the charity has worked across Wales to prevent homelessness, provide safe accommodation, and help people to leave homelessness behind for good.

    Lucy Walker of Llamau commented on the difference this partnership would make: “Support from corporate partners like EMR is essential to ensure we’re able to end homelessness in Wales. EMR share so many of our own values when it comes to supporting young people in our communities and we look forward to working together to ensure that young people have the opportunities that will help them thrive and leave homelessness behind. We can’t thank EMR enough for their ongoing support.”

    Lee Williams, General Manager at EMR Cardiff added: “Over the past couple of years people across the world have been adversely impacted by circumstances outside of their control. This has led to individuals becoming homeless through no fault of their own.

    “The support that Llamau offers to young people not only helps them to find housing, but provides them with the tools they need to thrive and turn temporary accommodation into a long term reality. We are proud to support Llamua and look forward to seeing the positive impact that our donation has.”

    Having launched in 2020, EMR’s Young Futures Reimagined programme has seen EMR support over 40 causes across the UK. The programme aims to help young people to build bright futures by offering resources that may not be readily available to them.
