Entries are now sold out to the Ogi Porthcawl 10K which returns to the seaside town on Sunday 7 July.
With just over two weeks to go, over 4,800 runners have snapped up spaces, making it the town’s biggest ever 10K event.
To mark the sell-out milestone, title sponsor Ogi and race organisers Run 4 Wales have today revealed the finishers’ t-shirt and medal design. The vibrant yellow t-shirt design provides a nod to Porthcawl’s popularity with surfers and the traditional seaside holiday.
Elite athlete, Hannah Irwin – winner of the 2024 ABP Newport 10K and Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay 10K – joined former Welsh Rugby International, Ryan Bevington, Run 4 Wales Race Director and double Olympic Marathoner, Steve Brace and former Commonwealth Games athlete and UK/Cardiff Met running coach James Thie for a special event in the town where the medal was also revealed to local businesses. This year, the interlocking medal forms part of the Run 4 Wales 2024 10K Series collection.
Run 4 Wales Race Director, Steve Brace, said: “We’re delighted to see the Ogi Porthcawl 10K sell-out once again this year. Excitement in the town is building, and today’s t-shirt reveal just adds to that momentum – we’re very much looking forward to handing it out to our thousands of finishers on race day.
“While the event is now sold out, there’s still a chance to get involved and soak in the fantastic and friendly race day atmosphere by spectating and cheering on your family and friends. We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone down to the Porthcawl seafront on Sunday 7 July.”

The popular Ogi Porthcawl 10K race showcases the very best of the iconic seaside town. Starting outside the historical Porthcawl Pavilion on the Promenade it provides panoramic views across Newton Bay, Trecco Bay and Sandy Bay before runners race through Trecco Bay Holiday Park and Coney Beach Pleasure Park.
They then journey through the heart of the town before catching a view of Rest Bay and the famous Porthcawl Lighthouse.
Alongside the 10K course there will also be the Ogi Jogi Junior races featuring a family-focused Fun Run, Toddler Dash and Future Challengers race for younger athletes looking to compete.
