RUNNERS are encouraged to not delay entering the 2023 Admiral Swansea Bay 10k as entries are due to close this Thursday, August 31.

Thousands have already entered the popular award-winning road race that’s organised by Swansea Council. Others can enter – swanseabay10k.com

With a seafront route, the event on Sunday, September 17 will see more than 3,000 runners of all abilities cheered on by large crowds.

As well as the 10k, the day will feature 1k and 3k races for juniors, a 10k wheelchair race and a 100m mascot race.

Organisers have welcomed Princes Gate Mineral Water once again as the event’s official water partner.  All water bottles provided by Princes Gate Mineral Water will be recyclable and made from 100% recycled material. Bins will see the bottles collected, recycled and turned into new bottles as part of a “closed loop” supply.

The council’s fleet of electric pool cars will be lead vehicles for the race.

Council’s cabinet member Robert Francis-Davies said: “I wish all the runners the best of luck and encourage anyone wanting to take part to sign up before the August 31 deadline.”
