Thousands of people flocking to the annual Pride Cymru Parade are getting helpful travel advice from Cardiff Bus.

The operator is alerting attendees to road closures and route diversions ahead of the hugely successful event set to take place in Cardiff this weekend.
The annual Pride Parade will take place on Saturday 24 August where thousands of people are expected to fill the capital’s streets and celebrate LGBTQ+ communities across Wales.
Some of the city centre roads will be closed, from 11:00 to 13:30, while the parade takes place including North Road, Kingsway, Duke Street, Castle Street, Lower St. Mary Street, Mill Lane, Canal Street and Customhouse Street.

Certain buses will divert and start and end from different city centre stops than normal.
City Circle services 1 & 2 will start from Churchill Way HN, and the 11, 44/45, 49/50, 52, 57/58 will also start from Churchill Way.
Baycar, service 13 (to the Bay) and the 91 to Penarth Pier will all start from a temporary stop outside the Radisson Blu Hotel on Bute Terrace.
Cross city services 8, 9 & X45 will be split in the city centre. The 8 & 9 to the Bay/Sports Village and X45 to Cardiff Bay Asda will start from Westgate Street KG, while the 8 & 9 to Heath Hospital and the X45 to St. Mellons will start from Churchill Way.
Buses to the north of the city, the 21 & 23, 24, 25, 27, 28/28A/28B & 35 will start from Greyfriars Road. Service 30 to Newport will start from Greyfriars Road also.
From 09:30 to 13:30 buses 21 & 23, 24 outbound, 25 inbound & 27 will enter and exit the city centre along Park Place and Colum Road as North Road will be closed from Colum Road to the city centre. From 09:30 to 11:00 these services will start/end from their normal terminal points and serve city centre stops as normal.
Services 13 (to Drope), 15, 17 & 18, 25, 61, 63, 64, 66 & 96 will all start from their normal stops on Westgate Street, but on their inbound journeys to the city centre will run along Neville Street, Fitzhamon Embankment and Wood Street instead of Cardiff Bridge.
Cardiff East Park & Ride service X59 will start and end from Dumfries Place HT all day, while the County Hall shoppers park & ride will start from a temporary stop outside the Radisson Blu Hotel on Bute Terrace.
