Flood warnings are still in place across parts of Wales as the unsettled conditions continue, with heavy rain and blustery winds expected over the coming days.

According to the Met Office, Wednesday will bring a bright start for northern areas, but cloud and rain will quickly move in during the afternoon. The rain will be heaviest and most persistent in the south, accompanied by strong coastal winds. Temperatures will remain mild, reaching up to 16°C.

Tonight, rain will continue but ease in intensity before turning drier through the early hours. Clear spells are expected, with lighter winds and temperatures dropping to around 10°C.

Thursday will bring a much-improved day for most, with drier and brighter conditions. Any early mist and fog should soon lift, giving way to sunny spells, although a few showers are possible in the north. Winds will be lighter and temperatures will peak around 15°C.

Looking ahead to the weekend, the unsettled weather will return. Friday is likely to see another spell of heavy and persistent rain, with scattered showers and breezy conditions continuing into Saturday and Sunday.

Temperatures will drop closer to average for mid-November, feeling cooler in the wind and rain.

Natural Resources Wales continues to monitor river levels, with several flood warnings and alerts still active following recent downpours.
