Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has been instructed to sell the former Cartrefle Residential Home in Llanrwst, North Wales.

This two-storey detached stone property, which was formerly a residential care home registered for up to 25 service users, comprises 21 single and two double bedrooms, four of which have en suite facilities. It is located in the picturesque market town of Llanrwst, in the heart of the Conwy Valley, within walking distance of a range of local amenities.

The home ceased trading in July 2025, and the freehold is now up for sale with an asking price of £450,000.

Sam Fazackerley, Business Agent – Care at Christie & Co, said:

“This is a fantastic opportunity to acquire a former care home in a picturesque location. The property will likely suit an experienced operator and, should they want to reopen it as a care home, they can do so because the registration with CIW has been maintained. The site may also be suitable for reconfiguration into specialist care, an HMO, or a residential development opportunity, subject to any appropriate planning permissions being obtained.”
