A former pub converted to a four-storey house could offer scope for further development with plans lodged for a three-bedroom house to be built on adjacent land.
The former Drysiog Inn, at 26 Commercial Street, Ebbw Vale, is being sold by Paul Fosh Auctions with a guide price of £164,000.
The current owner of the end terrace four-bedroom house has submitted a planning application for permission to build a house on land adjacent to the former pub’s garden.
Angie Davey, of Paul Fosh Auctions, said: “This deceptively spacious four-story end of terraced house is on a large corner plot which has far-reaching views to the rear.
“Previously run as a public house it has now been converted into a modern home.
“In addition, the owner has submitted a planning application to the Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council for permission to build a three-bedroom detached house on the land adjacent to the garden. No decision has been confirmed as yet.

“The current property provides a lounge/dining room, kitchen/dining room, utility and shower room, two basement rooms, three bedrooms – one with balcony, attic room/bedroom and bathroom.

“Outside there are gardens to the side, a rear paved garden and decked area plus parking area to the side.

“There is also an additional area of land included to the rear of the garden which would form part of the new build, along with some of the current garden.
“There is double glazing/gas central heating (not tested). The property is to be sold with vacant possession.
Ebbw Vale is a town at the head of the valley in South Wales. It is the largest town and the administrative centre of Blaenau Gwent county borough. It has direct access to the dualled A465 Heads of the Valleys trunk road and borders the Brecon Beacons National Park.
The next Paul Fosh Auctions sale, when this property and some 100 other varied lots will be on offer for sale online, starts at 12 noon on Tuesday, June 23 and ends from 2pm on Thursday, June 25.
