A former bakery may prove to have ingredients for a new business venture as long as you bear in mind the oven hasn’t baked for thirty years and a car included in the sale doesn’t have a key

The link detached house in Llanelli, where bread was once baked is being sold by South Wales-based Paul Fosh Auctions

With a Citroen car coming as part of the deal, three bedroom 13, Black Lion Road, Gorslas, Llanelli, is listed with a guide price of £163,000.

Angie Davey, of Paul Fosh Auctions, said: “It’s not often we sell former bakeries and even less frequently is a car included as part of a lot but the former oven and the Citroen car, without a key, all form part of this intriguing sale.

“The plot consists of a link detached house and old bakery building with its oven, which, as far as we know,  has been non-functioning for more than thirty years. There is ample parking, garages and a garden.

“The property offers potential for development, subject to obtaining the necessary planning consent).

“The main house provides a porch, two reception rooms, two kitchens one with Aga, a kitchenette, study, storeroom, four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a cloakroom. There’s double glazing and oil central heating (not tested).

“The link detached bakery will require full renovation and currently provides four ground floor rooms to include a large garage area, previously a loading bay, with garage and pedestrian doors, lower room via a small staircase, currently waterlogged, the baker’s oven and storage room, lift hatch to first floor, door to courtyard.

“There’s a staircase to the first floor, with three vaulted rooms, including flour storage area. Outside the part walled garden includes gravel and shrub areas plus an oil tank. The enclosed courtyard, via the bakery room, houses two small open outbuildings. There is a single garage for the main house with internal door to the bakery.

The property is to be sold with vacant possession.

“The vendors have informed us that they will be clearing the house and bakery but will be leaving the car which is situated on the driveway with no key.

“Gorslas is a village in Carmarthenshire, Wales, located on the A476 road northwest of Cross Hands  bordered by the Carmarthenshire communities of Llanarthney, Llanfihangel Aberbythych, Llandybie, Llannon, Pontyberem, and Llanddarog.  Gorslas is approximately 13 miles from Llanelli. “

The main house has two receptions, two kitchens, kitchenette, study, store room, bedroom/reception room and bathroom on the ground floor and three Bedrooms bathroom, cloakroom on the first. The bakery has four Rooms including garage area plus store room, lift hatch and three rooms above as well as a garage, garage area (bakery), forecourt parking, two small outbuildings outside.

This property along with some ninety others is included in the Paul Fosh Auctions online sale which starts at noon on Tuesday, October 1 and ends from 5pm on Thursday, October 3.
