Celebrate St David’s Day in style this weekend with a brilliant two-day city centre festival of all things Wales and Welsh, in association with our country’s very own Shirgar Butter.

From 10am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday, visitors will be able to enjoy fantastic free family event brimming with live music, cookery demonstrations, arts and culture, workshops, talks from sports and television personalities, and much more.

Councillor Elliott King, Cabinet Member for Culture, Human Rights & Equalities at Swansea Council, said: “This year’s Croeso offers an exceptionally diverse entertainment, cultural, and culinary programme.

“Croeso is a vibrant celebration of our Welsh heritage and national pride. At Swansea Council, we are dedicated to hosting high-quality, affordable events that invite everyone to celebrate our rich heritage and shine a spotlight on our best and brightest rising talent.

“We look forward to welcoming everyone for another memorable St David’s Day weekend.”

A full digital programme with all of the weekend’s exciting activities is available here.

Sponsored by Shirgar Butter, a stand-out addition for 2026 is the Pabell Pawb a Phopeth tent, promising interactive creative experiences and thought-provoking sessions from leading Welsh cultural figures, writers and performers.

Learn about the remarkable life of folk singer Dafydd Iwan, best known for his iconic anthem “Yma o Hyd” through a special Q&A session. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy personal stories and reminisce on career highlights with Ospreys legend and host of ‘Sportin Wales: The Podcast’, Alex Cuthbert.

Families will adore the St. David’s Storytime! (Family Show) from Mock The Week guest and stand-up comedian, Robin Morgan. For fans of the BBC hit TV show The Traitors, four iconic Welsh players will unite to share secrets from their time in the game for ‘Trust No One: A live Q&A with Wales’ Traitors’.

Welsh flavours take centre stage in the Cookery Demo tent, with live demonstrations from celebrated Welsh chefs. Enjoy inspiring sessions from The Great British Bake 2024 winner Georgie Grasso, TV chefs Sam & Shauna of Hang Fire, and Jonathan Woolway from The Shed, recently named in the Top 100 UK Restaurants.

Fresh off the back of Celebrity MasterChef finals, the world’s most capped Rugby Union player, Alun Wyn Jonesbrings his passion for food from the screen to the stage alongside University of Wales Trinity St. David International Gastronomy student Jef Pascual.

Guests can also enjoy buttery Bara Brith while Kev Johns chats to one of Swansea City’s most iconic modern players, Leon Britton, about his incredible football journey.

Over on the Main Stage, Croeso will host an impressive line-up of performers, appealing to audiences of all ages. Opening the stage every morning will be a Welsh-language story time session with Lowri Siôn.

Throughout the weekend, expect an exciting line-up of grassroots musicians, including the unapologetic ‘dirty pop’ sound of Pseudo Cool, Galore bringing the spirit of the psychedelic 60s, and Sage Todz, known for his creative fusion of grime and drill with Welsh language.

Headlining the Saturday and leading the parade on Sunday will be the lively, big-brass sounds of the Llareggub Brass Band. The St David’s Day Parade will begin 2PM Sunday 1 March leaving from the Main Stage.

After dark Croeso festivities continue in the city’s grassroots venues with the vibrant Croeso x Nightworks programme. This jam-packed line-up is full of bilingual, free-entry gigs spanning psychedelic electro-pop to stand-up comedy.

Across the weekend, visit talented crafters and Welsh traders offering everything from locally sourced sea glass jewellery to bilingual book sellers. Browse the festival food market with Welsh cheeses, cakes and artisan chutneys, or grab a bite from one of the delicious street food traders.
