Aberdare Festival returns to Aberdare Park on Saturday 24th May.

Gates are open from 11am to 5pm and there’s A LOT to pack in!  Entry is free so come along and enjoy!

Our free live music stage has a stellar line up this year and features some of the best UK tribute acts to the world’s most popular artis including:

Taylor Swift, Laura’s Version.  One for all the Swifties out there! Sing and dance along to some of the top hits by the world’s most successful touring artist of 2024!
Take@That as – you’ve guessed it – Take That! Join the “boys” as they cover songs from one of the most popular bands of the last 35 years! Enjoy the energy and stage presence of this tribute – it’s sure to be one you will “never forget”!
Chappell Roan UK – don’t forget your cowboy hat and join the Pink Pony Club with this tribute to Chappell Roan. Aberdare festival will definitely be H O T –  T O – G O.

Supporting our tribute artists for 2025, our community stage section will feature performances from local dance group Streetwise and musical theatre group Kenetic school of performing arts.

And there’s more!  We are also pleased to open the stage with TV personality and Welsh education favourite Martyn Geraint, who will host the morning segment of the live stage with his high energy, bilingual puppet show. Definitely an unmissable show for both Welsh and English speakers!

Last but not least – we are thrilled to announce that radio duo, Jagger and Woody from Heart Radio will be co-hosting the afternoon, bringing their usual antics and family friendly fun to the festival.

As always, there’ll also be lots of entertainment around Aberdare Park.

Get ready to roar as the free dinosaur show returns! Step into Jurassic Park with Raptors World! Head over to the dinosaur enclosure to meet these fully interactive dinosaurs and their team of expert dinosaur operators and rangers.  They’ll be making several appearances throughout the day – times will be published soon at www.aberdarefestival.co.uk

Teddy Bears’ Picnic will be joining the festival as it goes back on tour for 2025 with activities for children aged 5 and under and information for parents and carers.

There’ll also be a petting farm, donkey rides, funfair and of course, the boating lake will be open with its iconic swan and dragon pedaloes.

It’s a lot to get round in a day so make your way around the park in style on the Land Train. Hop on and off all day long for only £1.

There’s also something for the grown-ups, take a break from all the activities in the bar and beer garden area which will be run by local brewers Grey Trees Brewery.

With the addition of over 50 stalls comprising of craft, food & drink, information and more! There’ll be something for everyone to enjoy.
