Drivers heading home for the weekend are being warned of delays on several stretches of the M4 this Friday evening.

Traffic Wales has reported congestion on the westbound carriageway between Junction 23 at Rogiet and Junction 26 at Malpas.

Further delays are also building between Junction 38 at Margam and Junction 41 at Pentyla and Baglan, as well as between Junction 42 at Earlswood and Junction 43 at Llandarcy.

The affected routes cover key commuter and holiday corridors across South Wales, with traffic volumes typically increasing on Friday evenings as people travel home from work or head away for the weekend.

Motorists are being advised to allow extra time for their journeys and to check live traffic updates before setting off.
