Drivers are facing delays on the M4 this afternoon as Friday rush hour traffic builds.

Traffic Wales has reported congestion on the westbound carriageway between Junction 23A at Magor and Junction 26 at Malpas.

Motorists heading towards Newport and beyond are being urged to allow extra time for their journeys, with heavier than usual traffic expected during the busy end of week commute.

There are no further details at this stage about the cause of the delays. Drivers are advised to check live traffic updates and plan ahead where possible.
