Film fans can get into the Halloween spirit as a replica of the iconic Ecto-1 car pulls into St. David’s Cardiff to celebrate the launch of Sony Pictures’ highly anticipated Ghostbusters: Afterlife, which can be seen exclusively in cinemas from November 18th.

Visitors can snap a selfie with the vehicle and stand inside a super-sized ‘ghost trap’ on October 30th and 31st, ahead of the film’s UK release on November 18th.

Screens will also show snippets of the new movie and Lego™ Ecto-1 models will be on display, with a special competition for a chance to win a private screening of the movie and Ghostbusters-themed goodies via social media.

James Waugh, Centre Director at St. David’s Dewi Sant, said: “Film fans of all ages are excited to see the new Ghostbusters: Afterlife movie, so we’re helping to get them in the spirit by welcoming the famous Ecto-1 here at St. David’s. We’re sure the film will be a big hit, so make sure to book your cinema tickets in advance so you don’t miss out.”

St. David’s is the perfect family day-out destination – as well as seeing the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 car, this half term visitors can enjoy a range of restaurants appealing to all ages such as Fridays, Shake Shack, and Prezzo. St. David’s also offers fun activities such as Treetop Adventure Golf featuring two indoor, 18-hole courses, and a range of stores including Lego, Hamley’s, and Build-a-Bear Workshop – plus parking from just £2.

Ecto-1 and the ‘ghost trap’ will be at St. David’s on October 30th and 31st and Ghostbusters: Afterlife will be showing at St. David’s 15-screen Cineworld from November 18th.
