Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has been instructed to market The Beaufort Arms Hotel on the high street in Raglan, Monmouthshire.

Dating back to the 16th century, The Beaufort Arms Hotel is a historic coaching inn, known for blending traditional charm with modern comforts and creating a welcoming atmosphere for both locals and visitors.

The inn comprises fifteen individually styled en suite bedrooms. Those in the main hotel building feature medieval-inspired décor, with deep, sumptuous colours, while those in the Coach House offer a lighter “New England” aesthetic. Family suites and studios are also available, providing flexibility for groups, along with a pair of two-bedroom serviced apartments.

The hotel contains a brasserie restaurant, a traditional bar, a lounge restaurant, and a snug bar, plus a privately-accessible function/events room housed within a former chapel. To the front of the hotel, there is a well-maintained south-facing terrace where guests can enjoy food and drink while taking in views of the surrounding town and nearby Raglan Castle.

Centrally located in Raglan, The Beaufort Arms Hotel offers guests easy access to some of South Wales’ standout wedding venues, such as Sant Ffraed House and Cefn Tilla Court, as well as Raglan Golf Club, and has become the accommodation of choice for many visitors to the area.

Sam Roberts, Senior Agent at Christie & Co, is managing the sale and commented, “The Beaufort Arms Hotel presents a unique opportunity for a new buyer to take the reins of one of the area’s most recognised hotels, offering an individual, group or private investor the chance to grow trade and expand on its current offering.

“The hotel has garnered many accolades over the years, including ‘Best Kept Public House in Gwent’ for its exceptional upkeep and hospitality, and has four-star inn status by Visit Wales. It has an established reputation and longstanding presence in Raglan, along with a diverse revenue stream with income from accommodation, dining and events, creating an exciting opportunity for potential purchasers.”

The Beaufort Arms Hotel is on the market with a freehold asking price of £1,500,000.
