Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co is pleased to bring to market the Valley Hotel near Holyhead, on the Welsh Isle of Anglesey, for the first time in 30 years.

This recently refurbished, family-run property is a privately owned, multi-faceted business combining letting bedrooms, wedding & function trade along with an indoor and outdoor bar, and an informal dining area. Traditionally a coaching house, the hotel dates back to the 1800’s, on the historic Holyhead to London route.

Anglesey Inns have owned and operated the hotel for 30 years, having acquired the site from Burtonwood Brewery back in 1993. During this time, they have aspired to be a focal point for the local community and offer an affordable and enjoyable customer experience.

The company shareholders are now seeking a reputable buyer for the business to bring new investment and to take it to an even higher level by realising its full potential.

Paul Snape, Director of Anglesey Inns comments, “It has been a difficult decision to put the Valley up for sale but we feel it will ultimately benefit all parties – shareholders, staff and customers. We will continue to operate as normal while the hotel is on the market, honouring all bookings and commitments and encourage our General Manager Rob Roberts and his team to keep on introducing new initiatives and customer offers. So it is very much business as usual at the Valley.”

Tom O’Malley, Associate Director – Hotels, who is handling the sales process, comments, “Being on the Isle of Anglesey, one of the UK’s top holiday destinations, the Valley Hotel has a strong tourist seasonal trade, as well as a vibrant local trade, making this a fantastic opportunity to acquire an established hotel business.

“We expect hotel will appeal to a number of different new operators, from a local business person looking to take advantage of its healthy annual revenue, or a regional multiple operator who can take advantage of logistical expertise.”
