How to Take Care of Your Skin in Summer?

Summer is a time when our skin is particularly exposed to harmful external factors – UV radiation, high temperatures, salty water, and air conditioning can all contribute to dryness, loss of elasticity, and premature skin aging. That’s why summer skincare should be not only effective but also comprehensive – combining external care with internal support through proper supplementation.

    Sun Protection Is Essential

Applying sunscreen with SPF daily is the most important step in summer skincare. UVA and UVB rays can cause not only sunburn but also accelerate the skin’s aging process, lead to discoloration, and in extreme cases – increase the risk of skin cancer. Choose products with at least SPF 30, and opt for SPF 50 when spending extended time in the sun.

Hydration – The Key to Glowing Skin

Summer heat and dry air cause the skin to lose moisture more quickly. To maintain a healthy appearance and firmness, proper hydration is crucial – both externally and internally. In addition to using lightweight creams and mists, increase your water intake and consider supplements that support skin hydration.

Hyaluronic Acid – “Vegan Collagen” for Daily Supplementation

While collagen is naturally present in the body, its production decreases with age. In summer, when the skin is more vulnerable to damaging factors, it’s worth supporting its condition from the inside. A great option is drinkable hyaluronic acid, often referred to as vegan collagen – because although it doesn’t contain collagen proteins, it helps to hydrate and improve skin elasticity in a similar way.

Hyaluronic acid can bind large amounts of water, which helps to:

    • boost skin hydration from within,

    • improve firmness and elasticity,

    • reduce the appearance of fine lines and delay their formation.

Oral forms (e.g., in liquid or capsule form) are easy to use and can be a great addition to your summer skincare routine – especially for those with an active lifestyle or frequent sun exposure.

    Diet and Regeneration

Don’t forget the role of diet – rich in vegetables, fruits, healthy fats, and antioxidants. In summer, it’s especially beneficial to consume foods that contain:

    • Vitamin C (supports natural collagen production),

    • Vitamin E (protects against oxidative stress),

    • Beta-carotene (acts as a natural skin shield and antioxidant).

Also, prioritize quality sleep and manage stress – both have a significant impact on skin health.

    Summer Skincare Essentials

Summer skincare should be built on three pillars: sun protection, intense hydration, and internal support. Supplementing with hyaluronic acid can be a valuable way to care for healthy, radiant skin, not only during summer but all year round.
