Excitement is building with less than a month to go until the Rhug Country Fair, hosted by Lord Newborough and the Rhug Estate in Corwen, is held on Saturday and Sunday, 7 & 8 July 2018.

Main attractions include the Up Force motorbike stunt team. They will be performing in the Main Ring, three times a day, on both days.  North Wales Falconry will also be demonstrating their majestic birds and the skill of falconry around the show and in the Main Ring. These beautiful birds will be soaring throughout the show and visitors will have the opportunity to come face to face with a range of Falcons, Hawks and Owls.

Alan Evans, Organiser of the Rhug Country Fair said,

“We are very excited about next month’s event as we have some superb entertainment and demonstrations lined up for visitors to enjoy over the two days. It isn’t too late if you are interested in being a part of the event, either as an exhibitor, demonstrator, food or craft stall holder. Please visit the website for more details on how you can become involved.”

The British Ironwork Centre will be at the event. Amazing Ironwork sculptures will be scattered around the show so everywhere you turn you’ll see a masterpiece. Visitors will be greeted by majestic giraffes only to find them living alongside a stalking lioness, a fearsome alligator and utterly magnificent African elephants along with many other stunning life-sized animals. These have been skilfully crafted by different sculptors from all over the world.

The event will also include 170 stalls and exhibits including food, craft and rural antiques and a licensed, undercover bar. There will be a wood carving arena with the main carvings being sold by auction on the Sunday afternoon. A Fishing area which includes casting demonstrations; fly fishing lessons and numerous stalls. A shooting area which will have a BASC shooting school; clay pigeon shooting all day; archery and air rifle shooting. Dei Bando terrier racing will be held on the Sunday and you can bring your dog along to compete. There will also be an Open Vintage display, a historic ring, and lots more.

Lord Newborough, owner of the Rhug Estate, said,

“We are delighted to be able to host the Country Fair again. There was such a buzz around the place last year when the event was held here for the first time. It’s fantastic to see all the traditional country pursuits being enjoyed by visitors to the event. Rhug is becoming increasingly popular for holding such events as we are ideally situated in the centre of north Wales; we have good access from the A5, flat fields, catering facilities, a vast sheep shed providing wet weather protection and the conference facilities.”
