Welsh law firm JCP Solicitors has made two key appointments from within its ranks, to continue to manage ongoing growth as turnover hits 10 million at the business.

Chris Shaw, Director and Head of Lifetime Planning, is now a business owner at the firm, and the new head of JCP’s Cowbridge office, while Nicola Watson becomes a non-lawyer director, progressing from Finance Manager to Finance Director.

[aoa id=”1″]Chris manages the Lifetime Planning team which deals with all aspects of Wills, Probates and Trusts.  With its members based between Fishguard and Cardiff the team achieves a turnover in excess of £1.3 million, with clients ranging from high net worth individuals, and entrepreneurs, to professional sports men and women. Chris himself is singled out for praise in the Legal 500 edition for his expertise in Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate. [/aoa]

Nicola is a pivotal part of JCP’s management team and a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians. She and her team of seven manage the firm’s high volume of incoming and outgoing transactions. Her promotion makes Nicola JCP’s third non-lawyer appointed director, alongside the company’s CEO and its Marketing Director.

JCP Director and CEO, Hayley Davies, said: “It is always a pleasure to see our valued colleagues’ progress within the JCP fold and within our industry. Both are impressive individuals within their respective fields, with these appointments acknowledging their contribution to our success.

“Providing a clear path for progression is a key element of JCP’s business strategy that has served us well for many years. Chris and Nicola have both grown their roles alongside the development of JCP.  They bring valued expertise, as well as well-honed personal skills, that help JCP to give quality service to its clients. This is a natural progression for them both.”

JCP Solicitors is the largest law firm with offices solely in Wales, operating from nine offices across the region.
