Newport-based tax and accountancy specialist Kilsby Williams is looking ahead to a promising 2026 following continued financial, team and client growth last year.
The firm reported positive year end figures at the end of its accounting year, achieving 15% growth. This favourable position saw the business successfully launch a highly experienced forensic accounting and expert witness service, secure work with new clients including CCR Energy, Glamorgan Cricket and others, and increase its headcount to 76.
To support its growing team and client portfolio, Kilsby Williams has promoted Astrid Hungerford to HR Manager.
Astrid joined the firm as a senior payroll assistant, having previously worked in payroll and HR roles in industry. The firm has championed Astrid’s professional development, helping her to achieve the CIPP Foundation Degree in Payroll Management and CIPD Foundation Certificate in People Practice, and work towards her CIPD Associate Diploma in People Management.
In her new role as HR Manager, Astrid manages the full employee lifecycle for colleagues across the firm. Her responsibilities include recruitment and onboarding, learning and development and performance management, in addition to employee relations, HR strategy and ensuring compliance with employment law.
Astrid also assists with wellbeing initiatives and leads the planning and coordination of events aimed at fostering engagement and promoting the firm’s culture.
Astrid said: “Since joining Kilsby Williams in December 2020, I’ve had the opportunity to take on new challenges and develop professionally, progressing to HR Manager. I’m very grateful for the firm’s support and investment in my development which has enabled me to achieve my CIPP and CIPD qualifications.
“This role has been an incredible journey of learning, growth, and making a positive impact on our people and culture. I’m immensely proud to contribute to the continued success of the firm and to be part of a team that values collaboration, innovation, growth and wellbeing.”
Simon Tee, managing partner at Kilsby Williams, said: “Across our team, client portfolio and services, we achieved an exceptional rate of growth last year and we look forward to continuing this positive trajectory in 2026.
“Our success is down to the hard work and commitment of our incredible team who fully buy into our firm’s vision and culture. As a result, it is only right that we recognise and reward members of our team like Astrid who have contributed to our growth.”
