Emergency services are at the scene of a collision on the M4 near Cardiff this evening, with drivers being warned to expect delays.

Traffic Wales has confirmed that a lane closure is currently in place on the westbound carriageway between Junction 32 Coryton and Junction 33 Capel Llanilltern.

Lane three has been closed while emergency services deal with the incident.

The collision is affecting traffic heading westbound on the busy stretch of motorway, which connects Cardiff with areas including Pontyclun and Bridgend.

Traffic Wales said motorists travelling through the area should allow extra time for their journeys while the situation is dealt with.

No further details about the collision or any injuries have been released at this stage.

Drivers are advised to approach the area with caution and follow instructions from traffic officers and emergency services while the lane closure remains in place.
