A 25-year-old man has been arrested after an on-duty police officer was injured in a collision involving an e-bike.
South Wales Police was called to Amroth Road shortly after 8.30pm on Tuesday, August 11, following reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and an e-bike.
The pedestrian was an on-duty police officer who had been conducting patrols as part of a plain-clothes operation.
The operation was launched in response to community concerns about the illegal and anti-social use of high-powered electric bikes.
The officer was taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. Police confirmed that he suffered no serious injuries.
A 25-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, driving without a licence and possession with intent to supply cannabis.
Several items were seized during the investigation, including bags of cannabis, approximately £700 in cash and a Sur-Ron bike.
The suspect remains in police custody while inquiries continue.
