Man who died in Cimla named by police

The man who died at an address in Cimla on Wednesday, October 2nd has been named as 66-year-old Wayne Pugh.

Officers were called to assist ambulance colleagues at the property on Talbot Road at approximately 10.30pm.

Mr Pugh’s family has issued the following statement:  “The family of Wayne are devastated with the sudden loss and ask for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time.”

A 54-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the death has been released on bail pending further investigation.

A number of local enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident.

Detective Inspector Stuart Wales, of South Wales Police Major Crime Investigation Team, said: “We are not looking for anybody else in connection with this matter, and I can confirm that it was an isolated incident.”
