Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council’s Lifeline service has achieved a significant milestone by successfully obtaining the TEC Quality accreditation from the TEC Services Association (TSA), highlighting the team’s exceptional commitment to delivering high-quality technology-enabled care.

The Quality Standards Framework (QSF) supports organisations providing Technology Enabled Care (TEC) acting as a “health check” for the service being provided and to strengthen service delivery. QSF Certification shows commitment to the principles of Quality, Safety, Innovation, and Continuous Improvement when delivering TEC solutions to South and West Wales residents.

Cllr Anna Williams-Price, Cabinet Member for Financial Sustainability, Assets & Commercial said: “This accreditation is more than just a certificate – it’s a testament to the team’s unwavering commitment to providing compassionate, reliable care for our community. We’re proud to demonstrate that Merthyr Tydfil is at the forefront of innovative care solutions that truly make a difference in people’s lives.”

By achieving QSF Certification the Lifeline team has proven its dedication and hard work over the past year and demonstrates the focus on quality of the service being provided, embedding quality into the service and mitigating risk to provide exceptional support to residents.

Key highlights of the Lifeline service include:

    • 24/7 emergency response
    • Immediate help and advice
    • Comprehensive coverage throughout residents’ homes and gardens
    • Affordable weekly service fee
