Pentre Gwyn Older Peoples’ Group, based in Wrexham, has been awarded £29,790 by The National Lottery Community Fund to turn a successful locally based pilot project, Memories, into a substantial service to people of all ages who are affected by dementia.

With this financial support, Memories is able to reach out to support more people and their families for a further two years.

Rosemary Williams and Pat Williams, from Pentre Gwyn Older People’s Group, said, “Thank you, National Lottery, for believing in Memories, who will continue to connect people in meaningful and creative ways. The philosophy is – ‘Dementia doesn’t define the person’ and ‘Working together achieves success’.”
